How to make Blueberry Jam at Home ?

INGREDIENTS:

  • For about 4 pots:
  • 1 kg of blueberrys
  • 600-700 g sugar blond cane
  • 1 clove of vanilla
  • 1 citron

PREPARATION :

  • Put the washed blueberries in a saucepan with the sugar, vanilla pod split in two, one glass of water and lemon juice, bring to boil and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Check the cooking by pouring a spoonful of jam on an inclined plate: If sag is liquid, continue cooking if on the contrary it freezes flowing, put in jars.
  • Let cool and keep cool.

THE TRICK:

You can add the juice of raspberries 125g mixed and passed through a sieve for a little tartness.
Add a knob of butter at the end before putting pots.
